People often say, “It takes a village to raise a child.” This is true, but often, people don’t realize how the village influences the behaviors, mindsets, and the culture in which that child is raised.

Intentional Learning Academy was born out of a need to restore faith in the “educators” that teach our children. Educators create and cultivate a culture of learning, which creates mindsets, and in turn impacts children’s behaviors. This is not only achieved through academics but also by building rapport and relationships with children that make them feel loved, understood, and heard. When this is exhibited, children strive to achieve greater success.

Intentional Learning Academy noticed a great need to go beyond the norm to reach a generation of children who are often overlooked or ignored. We saw children fall behind because the classroom teacher was overwhelmed with meeting compliance and not meeting the student where they were. We saw children frustrated that they could not ask a question more than once because the teacher was pressed for time to stay on the “pacing guide.”

Here at Intentional Learning Academy, it is our purpose to boost the morale of our children and build their self-esteem “to know” that they are great and can achieve all things… that’s creating a culture, that create mindsets, that create behaviors.
